Note from Colin Ayres:

v10 Every Nephesh of the forest is mine. All souls belong to God. God has no need of His creation being killed. God does not even hunger for them because all that is in the world is His. (verse 12). All that is His can give Him praise as in Psalm 150.

He says thanksgiving and vows to God is what He wants. God Himself made a covenant with people and animals Hosea 2.18 let us not say this covenant is on our 'lips' and give our mouth to evil, in our words or actions.

Note 1: (Colin Ayres July 2025): There is no use of the word STOCK in reference to animals in the Bible. The word is Behomah, H0929, cattle or beasts that often share in human suffering for sin, they suffer in times of drought and war just as humans do and the same in times of God punishment. In Matthew 21.12,, when Jesus rejected doves being sold in the Temple, this idea of selling lives was rejected.
